Stan Coleman — Legal Counsel

Stan Coleman is a partner in Weissmann, Wolff, Bergman, Coleman, Grodin & Evall, LLP, a Beverly Hills-based law firm. Coleman specializes in entertainment law and was one of the founding partners of the firm in 1981. Prior to that time, he was a partner in the Beverly Hills firm of Kaplan, Livingston, Goodwin, Berkowitz & Selvin.

Mr. Coleman's practice consists primarily of the representation of writers, directors, actors, and producers in motion pictures, television and on the legitimate stage. Many of his clients have been nominated for or have won Oscars, Emmys, Tonys and Pulitzer Prizes, among numerous other awards.

Coleman was a pioneer in the development of the home video industry, and in the convergence between Hollywood and the Silicon Valley. In addition to his practice representing artists, Stan also represents leading publishers and distributors in print, home video and electronic entertainment.

Coleman has been a speaker or lecturer at UCLA, the University of Southern California, Cornell University, the National Association of Broadcasters Convention, the American Bar Association, and the American Film Institute, among others, and has been featured on television and in numerous periodicals.

He received his Bachelor of Arts degree with honors from Cornell University in 1966, and his Juris Doctor degree with honors from the Columbia University School of Law in 1969 where he was a Barney Jaffin Scholar and a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar.
