Winnie
Winnie is the story of how one wealthy outsider changes corporate America.
Synopsis
Upon the sudden death of her business tycoon husband, family martriarch Winnie Preston does the opposite of what her family and Greenwich, Connecticut society expect. She forsakes the society gala events for the company boardroom where, as the largest shareholder of $6B conglomerate Preston Holdings, she declares to shift priorities away from "profits at all cost" and toward environmental and psychological sustainability, fair wages, adequate health insurance and a culture of transparency.
She's assisted in this quest by her equally feisty and impassioned granddaughter, Caroline. Together these two enrage other family members, rattle the Wall Street establishment, and endanger their livelihoods — and ultimately their lives, while experiencing a heightened sense of camaraderie and fulfillment.
